Renewing Dodgers Season Tickets

We hope fans are as excited as we are to see the Dodgers in-person again!

Opening Day is fast approaching, leaving confusion and doubt lingering around. Though Los Angeles recently received approval to host fans at 20% attendance, what does this mean for season ticket holders?

It’s been a whirlwind of information and decision-making for Dodgers Premium season ticket holders, but don’t fret. We compiled a list of tips, tricks and top resources to follow.

Key Dates:
– Premium Seat Holders: Monday March 22nd, Seven 7-game Baseline Club or Home Run Seat Pre-sale.
– Premium Seat Holders: Tuesday March 23rd, Non-Premium 14-Game Plan; Non-Premium seat locations will vary, and specific sections are not guaranteed. Fans will be able to choose from two different schedules, A or B.
– At this time, the season ticket plans remain unchanged for games after June 11, and fans will be contacted via email with the opportunity to access a priority pre-sale for single-game tickets to select games through June 2.

The purchase of a 7 or 14 game package brings along benefits. Fans would receive exclusive pre-sale access to Opening Day tickets (Friday, April 9 vs. Nationals). Although not guaranteed, this method does increase the odds of acquiring those highly coveted seats. A limited number of tickets will be available, and locations will vary throughout the ballpark.

Due to the current restrictions, all Premium clubs will not be accessible at this time. Based on our understanding there will be an elevated in-seat waiter service in place of the clubs.

Analysis

After careful consideration, we at TiqAssist decided to move forward with renewing our season ticket package this year. Though we, too, were shocked to receive an email detailing the entire payment, we broke down costs to make it easy to digest. First, fans can make three monthly payments, minimizing the up-front cost. Second, fans receive credit back for each full season game not attended. In reality, season ticket holders could be spending as little as one third of the full regular season cost.

Most importantly, season ticket holders retain full access to the playoff tickets. The majority of the value in owning MLB tickets comes from those postseason runs, making Dodgers seats very compelling for 2021.
