NFL Resale Power Rankings
What an exciting Week 1 of the NFL season! A lot happened on the field, and a lot happened week to week in the world of ticket resale too. After a season ending achilles injury, Aaron Rodgers boldly claimed that he would “rise again.” While that might be true, the Jets resale value… probably won’t rise again to where it was to start this season.
And neither will the value of teams like the Patriots, who had Week 1 prices driven up by the Brady appearance and were expecting Aaron Rodgers to boost the value of a late season matchup. Those two teams and the Vikings (who were upset by Baker Mayfield’s Bucs and dropped nearly $20 in value) were the biggest losers in this week’s rankings due to three of the most common factors for ticket value fluctuation:
- Injury to a star player
- Value of an opponent
- Declining team performance
List your seats early to avoid that fluctuation!
Many season ticket holders are looking to get value from the games they’re not going to. It’s important to note that there are a variety of factors that drive supply and demand for each NFL franchise,
To help simplify your understanding of each team’s current resale value, TiqAssist will rank every team by average median list price for home games throughout the season. With the NFL season kickoff, here are the Resale Rankings from top to bottom for Week 2 of the NFL season!
-
Rank1$519Average median
resale price(Last Week: 1, $522) The Raiders spoiled Sean Payton’s debut while celebrating Jimmy G’s first appearance in the regular season. Staying on top of the leaderboard as a destination NFL game for every NFL fan out there, who doesn’t want to hit Vegas and a Raiders game to watch your favorite team?! With Jimmy G. already questionable for a Week 2 start, this is the one team that could maintain the best resale value spot regardless of record, QB1 health or matchups. It’ll be interesting to see if any team overtakes a home game at the Death Star this season. Congrats to Raiders Season Ticket Holders on leading the league in one major category, value of owning a seat license.
-
Rank2$442Average median
resale price(Last Week: 1, $451) With the offense dealing with the loss of Travis Kelce and the defense dealing with the absence of Chris Jones in Week 1, the Chiefs still help onto the second best value to NFL season ticket holders. We don’t see this changing much barring a Mahomes injury, although Aaron Rodgers just demonstrated that is always possible for star QBs.
-
Rank3$436Average median
resale price(Last Week: 3, $437) The Eagles host their first home game in Week 2 on Thursday Night Football and it’s bound to be a coronation of the NFC Champs! With a Super Bowl appearance under their belt and another off season for Jalen Hurts to get even better, the sky is the limit for 2023 (No pun intended). Not surprising that the value for their home opener hasn’t moved much for this week.
-
Rank4$381Average median
resale price(Last Week: 4, $379) With Tua and Tyreek Hill taking charge in Los Angeles last weekend, the excitement in South Beach has never been higher for Phins fans. With AFC East rival Patriots in town for their home opener, the Dolphins are looking to make a splash in the resale market this week.
-
Rank5$370Average median
resale price(Last Week: 5, $372) The Bengals will look to bounce back from a disappointing performance on the field in Week 1, and get back to providing the blueprint for small market teams looking to rival coastal ticket value. A bounce back performance for Joe Burrow and a Week 2 home win over the rival Ravens would go a long way towards reigniting that excitement.
-
Rank6+4Previous rank: 10$357Average median
resale price(Last Week: 10, $311) Has the roar been restored in Detroit? Lions fans have good reason to think so after upsetting the defending champs in primetime. The rookies played well, and the Lions head into their home opener with the largest jump in our resale rankings! A rematch of last season’s highest scoring game is on tap at Ford Field against Seattle.
-
Rank7$348Average median
resale price(Last Week: 7, $345) How bout them Cowboys? After Micah Parsons and company demolished the Giants in Week 1, Dallas only saw a slight uptick heading into Week 2. If you’re surprised that Dallas is not higher on this list, the Aaron Rodgers injury might be to blame. Dallas hosts a Jets team that won’t be as exciting with Zach Wilson behind center.
-
Rank8$346Average median
resale price(Last Week: 8, $339) What quarterback problem? Niners resale value took a massive drop heading into the season, but with more performances like the one Brock Purdy and the 49ers put up against Pittsburgh in Week 1, San Francisco will look to get back to where they were heading into the NFC Championship game last year.
-
Rank9$321Average median
resale price(Last Week: 9, $321) Despite a disappointing Week 1 loss, folding tables should still beware. Bills Mafia is amped up and ready for another wild season in Orchard Park. Getting a big home opener win over a vicious Vegas team could get the Bills back on track in the standings and in the resale rankings.
-
Rank10+3Previous rank: 13$306Average median
resale price(Last Week: 10, $280) A Week 1 disappointment might have fans surprised to see Da Bears this high on the resale rankings. A back loaded home schedule might have something to do with that, as prices tend to dip closer to kickoff, hurting other teams on this list. Hopefully Justin Fields and the Bears can turn things around before games at Soldier Field march closer.
-
Rank11-5Previous rank: 6$298Average median
resale price(Last Week: 6, $362) With a marquee matchup with the Eagles, in which they honored New England’s GOAT, Tom Brady, in the rearview mirror, this drop was expected. The Patriots will need to channel some of their inner Brady during their upcoming road trip if they want to climb back up these rankings.
-
Rank12$298Average median
resale price(Last Week: 12, $286) Russell Wilson and the Broncos failed to live up to their mile high expectations in Week 1. Despite this, fans are betting on their team turning over a new leaf with head coach Sean Payton. Hosting, among others, the Chiefs, Chargers, Patriots, Packers and Vikings later this season certainly helps too.
-
Rank13+1Previous rank: 14$280Average median
resale price(Last Week: 14, $280) Despite a Week 1 smackdown at home against the Niners, there’s reason for optimism in Pittsburgh. The Steelers closed last year on a 6-1 run on the back of a solid defense and young players on the offensive side of the ball. That potential and a MNF matchup with the Browns are keeping fans hyped for football in Pittsburgh.
-
Rank14-3Previous rank: 11$298Average median
resale price(Last Week: 11, $298) Week 1 didn’t go Seattle’s way at home, and a big drop in resale value followed. They host No. 1 pick Bryce Young in Week 3, and a road win over the Lions would be huge to make sure the 12th Man isn’t sleepless in Seattle heading into that next home game.
-
Rank15+2Previous rank: 17$264Average median
resale price(Last Week: 17, $263) The Bryce Young era didn’t start out with a Panthers victory, but hosting the Saints in primetime this week is a resale victory. Leaving their home opener with a W over a division rival could spur a lot of Carolina interest moving forward.
-
Rank16+2Previous rank: 18$261Average median
resale price(Last Week: 18, $254) Remember the Titans? Fans who watched Tennessee’s Week 1 dud don’t want to. The good news for their resale value is that the Titans host three playoff teams (Chargers, Bengals and Ravens) in the first five weeks, which is certainly boosting their resale value early on.
-
Rank17-1Previous rank: 16$259Average median
resale price(Last Week: 16, $269) And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why you list your tickets early if you can’t make a game. Aaron Rodgers is now out for the year, and fans that waited to list the games they aren’t attending can now expect Zach Wilson prices for what were Aaron Rodgers gold at this time last week.
-
Rank18-3Previous rank: 15$256Average median
resale price(Last Week: 15, $276) A loss to Baker Mayfield and the Bucs is not how the Vikings wanted to open their division title defense. With 5 of their last 7 games on the road, Minnesota will have to capture some of last year’s excitement early to climb higher in these rankings. With one of the most exciting offenses in the league, that is certainly within the range of possibilities.
-
Rank19$250Average median
resale price(Last Week: 19, $249) Despite the departure of future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers, Packers fans will not be getting a ‘discount double check’ on seats this season. A Week 1 win over the Bears was huge for Jordan Love’s Packers, and a Week 2 win in Atlanta would be huge for resale value heading into Lambeau’s upcoming home opener.
-
Rank20$244Average median
resale price(Last Week: 20, $247) What was that? The Giants are the only team that has not scored a point after Week 1. Daniel Jones and the Giants will have to play a whole lot better on the road against the Cards and Niners to avoid a steeper drop heading into their next home game at MetLife.
-
Rank21$239Average median
resale price(Last Week: 21, $240) Week 1 was a solid start, but LA will need more solid performances from Aaron Donald, Matthew Stafford and company to compete with the *deep breath* Chargers, Dodgers, Angels, Lakers, Clippers, Kings, Ducks, UCLA Bruins and USC Trojans for LA sports interest. A home opener win over their rival Niners would be huge for that!
-
Rank22$218Average median
resale price(Last Week: 22, $231) A historically bad performance by the Chargers defense punctured early season hopes for Los Angeles. They’ll need to play better on that side of the ball on the road against Tennessee and Minnesota to get back on track heading into their next home stand.
-
Rank23$217Average median
resale price(Last Week: 22, $218) Tampa Bay experienced a massive drop in resale value after the retirement of Tom Brady. But don’t tell Baker Mayfield that. The loss of the greatest player of all time will do that to any team, but following up their victory in Minnesota with back to back home wins against the Bucs and Eagles would generate some hype in this weak division.
-
Rank24+4Previous rank: 28$212Average median
resale price(Last Week: 28, $198) After a surprise playoff run last season, fans finally have something to be excited about in Jacksonville. A Week 1 victory inspired even more confidence, and three straight home games starting with KC will give Jags fans an up close look at their squad.
-
Rank25-1Previous rank: 24$202Average median
resale price(Last Week: 24, $207) A win is a win, but a one score game against a Cardinals team that some expect to go 0-17 isn’t terrific. In what many consider to be a rebuilding year in Washington, hosting six playoff teams (Bills, Eagles, Giants, Dolphins, 49ers and Cowboys) has the potential to keep FedEx Field’s resale value afloat even if things look ugly on the field.
-
Rank26$196Average median
resale price(Last Week: 26, $197) Expectations have all but dried up in the desert, and a Week 1 loss to Washington didn’t do much to inspire any confidence. But upcoming visits from the Giants, Cowboys, Bengals and Ravens are keeping the Cardinals from the basement of the resale rankings.
-
Rank27-2Previous rank: 25$195Average median
resale price(Last Week: 25, $198) Derek Carr came marching into New Orleans, and Saints fans are hoping their new quarterback will provide stability at the position for the first time since Drew Brees retired. A soft schedule might help the Saints on the field, but the lack of big name opponents might prevent New Orleans tickets from climbing much higher.
-
Rank28-1Previous rank: 27$193Average median
resale price(Last Week: 27, $197) That was a great start in Week 1 as Cleveland fans are looking forward to their first full season with new quarterback Deshaun Watson. Much of their success on the field will be determined by whether or not Watson can perform at the level that he did in Houston. Much of their success off of the field will be decided by the performance of their AFC North counterparts, all of which had their struggles in Week 1.
-
Rank29+2Previous rank: 31$154Average median
resale price(Last Week: 31, $154) Baltimore just extended former MVP Lamar Jackson to a monster contract and the defense looked solid in a Week 1 victory over Houston. The franchise might need a boost in ticket value if they’re going to start paying for Lamar’s contract though. The schedule might be to blame, with Week 18 against the Dolphins being the lone playoff team traveling to M&T Bank Stadium from outside the division this season.
-
Rank30$151Average median
resale price(Last Week: 31, $155) Despite missing out on Bryce Young, fans are excited about their draft picks, CJ Stroud and Will Anderson heading into their home opener in Week 2 against the Colts Without a first rounder this year, Houston’s loyal fanbase is crossing their fingers that this duo will start winning games soon.
-
Rank31+1Previous rank: 32$148Average median
resale price(Last Week: 32, $143) They didn’t win in Week 1, but Anthony Richardson showed flashes of a promising career in Indy. More dynamic games from Richardson and a healthy return for Jonathan Taylor are the two things that could give the majority of Colts fans confidence in buying tickets moving forward.
-
Rank32-3Previous rank: 29$145Average median
resale price(Last Week: 29, $161) A Week 1 win over the division rival Panthers was huge to start the year, but Atlanta still tumbled in the resale rankings. The final victim of the NFC South’s bland 2023 schedule, the Falcons do not host a single team from the top half of these rankings for the rest of the season. They will need their opponents to step it up as well if they want to move out of the basement of the resale rankings.
