TiqAssist’s 2025 Ticket Pricing Strategy by Month

Written by
Patrick Dilworth

What’s Our Pricing Strategy?

Below we share details and data of how our pricing strategy adapts over the 2025 NFL season.

Using 2023 and 2024 resale data from four teams (Rams, Raiders, Chargers, and 49ers), our results illustrate similar market trends across the four teams which helps drive our 2025 pricing strategy.

SCHEDULE RELEASE – MAY

Expect the highest sale prices of the NFL season, at the second-highest sales pace.

Red and Blue lines represent data for the 49ers, Chargers, Raiders, and Rams.
*Sell-through-rate is the percentage of listings that sold.

Immediately following the schedule release is the best time of the season to list and sell NFL tickets.

We recommend that NFL season ticket holders look for games they know they can’t make (plus high profile games they’re willing to sell) and list those as close to the schedule release as possible. Securing a couple of strong early sales gets your season ticket resale performance off to a great start!

JUNE AND JULY

Expect relatively high sale prices, but at the slowest sales pace of the season.

Red and Blue lines represent data for the 49ers, Chargers, Raiders, and Rams.
*Sell-through-rate is the percentage of listings that sold.

With the second highest sale prices of the season, if the game is more than 30 days away, be patient and hold the line on pricing rather than reduce prices to force a sale. Given this time period has the second highest sales prices of the season, any sale now will likely exceed sales that happen later. So, still a good time to have your listings up!

TIQASSIST SELLING STRATEGY: AUGUST TO JANUARY

Once August arrives, we manage ticket pricing based on the amount of days to the game. The most important thing to know is that NFL prices are fairly steady until 30 days to the game, then prices start to drop.

Red and Blue lines represent data for the 49ers, Chargers, Raiders, and Rams.
*Sell-through-rate is the percentage of listings that sold.

If the game is more than 30 days away: Generally, we keep prices fairly steady.

  • That is because we have some time to get a relatively high price, before prices begin to fall around 30 days to the game.
  • We do encourage listing at least 60 days in advance of the game, so we have 30 days to market the tickets before prices start dropping.

Once we get to less than 30 days to the game, we systematically drop prices to ensure you don’t experience the downside risks of selling too close to the event.

  • Your team may outperform expectations, like the 49ers did in 2023, but even then prices only rose about 9% as games approached. A winning streak can create modest bumps, and in some cases we may sell tickets before that increase. When the market heats up, we adjust prices on remaining games. Still, since NFL prices typically fall 19% in the last 30 days, betting on a big run is usually a losing strategy.
